Job description

We are currently working in partnership with one of Europe’s leading organisations within professional services who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor on a 6-month FTC.

This will be a full-time position based in West Yorkshire, with hybrid working (Two days home working) and a salary of £32,000 to £39,000 per annum (+ £1,500 end of contract bonus).

The ideal candidate will have extensive generalist HR experience, and ideally have experience working within a professional services background.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Consulting with managers from Team Leader to Partner level within the functions which the role supports, on the full range of people management issues, building close relations with them and working collaboratively to find appropriate solutions
  • Dealing and advising on cases including employee relations, staff communications, motivation and engagement, career progression, role changes, DEI, performance management, contract changes, change management, special leaves, sickness absence etc.
  • Advising managers and staff on policy, process, employment law, best practice
  • Meeting regularly with Group Heads and Function Heads to proactively guide, coach and support them on their people management responsibilities
  • Monitoring the performance review system, supporting completion of reviews and appraisals, encouraging regular manager 1-1s and tackling under-performance
  • Ensuring managers are engaging effectively with new recruits, working with L&D on HR inductions
  • Liaising with the Recruitment Specialist to help managers define and fulfil their recruitment needs, prepare recruitment business cases, assist with selection discussions
  • Working on project tasks alongside others, derived from the HR strategy and the organisation’s three-year plans

Experience required:

  • Three years of HR Advisor generalist experience
  • Experience working in a professional services environment
