Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a public sector organisation based in Nottinghamshire who are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a Permanent basis.

The role is a full-time position, with hybrid working and an annual salary ranging from £32,000 - £34,000.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a HR advisory service and professional opinion in relation to absence, health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, recruitment, organisational change and the range of employment and employee relations matters

  • Managing own area of case work, including complex casework, advising and supporting managers on interpretation in line with policies, procedures and legislation requirements

  • Assisting with ER case work (80% of the role) which includes attending Disciplinary/Grievance/Investigatory/Appeal meetings

  • Monitoring the process, taking notes for the personal file, advising managers accordingly and attending Employment Tribunals as required

  • Advising and support managers with complex absence management cases, attending review meetings and dismissal meetings as required

  • Supporting the reduction of sickness absence and promote attendance in meetings

  • Understanding of the recruitment processes and support HR Team Assistants, including advice on Job description, person specifications, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, testing, appointment requirements and effective induction

  • Preparing reports and relevant statistical information to support performance indicators

  • Assisting in the development and updating of HR policies and procedures to ensure they reflect key legislation and best practice

Expertise required:

  • Must have Level 3 or Level 5CIPD qualification in relevant subject

  • Must hold a full UK Driving License

  • Face to face experience dealing with employee relations

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
