Job description

We are proud to be working alongside one of the UK’s leading car specialists based in Northamptonshire, who are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis paying an annual salary starting at £31,500 per annum plus additional company benefits.

Role summary:

  • Providing expertise and support in all employee relation cases

  • Utilising experience in employee relations to ensure HR matters are handled promptly, fairly, and consistently in line with legal and company requirements

  • Providing consistent and accurate HR guidance, support and expertise to managers and employees in line with policy, practice, and legislation

  • Managing Disciplinary and Grievance process – organise hearings, take notes, provide support and guidance to managers as required

  • Writing up paperwork and letters in conjunction with managers on the outcomes of disciplinary and grievance cases

  • Participating in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to support the delivery of the People Strategy

  • Responsible for timely management of sickness absences

  • Managing long term sick cases – keeping communication channels open, organise attendance review meetings, providing support and guidance to managers as required

  • Managing Maternity and Paternity processes

  • Designing and updating letter templates as required

About you:

  • CIPD qualified or with equivalent qualifications/experience

  • Good knowledge and practical application of current UK employment law, procedures and processes

  • High attention to detail, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - know how to speak to people and deliver a message in the right way

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, resourceful, and able to apply initiative to work independently as well as contribute to the effectiveness of the HR team

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Working hours:

  • 40, Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 5:30pm (flexible with 30 minutes lunch)
