Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Nottingham, who are recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary 2-month contract. The position is due to start from January the 3rd (to be confirmed). The hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing tenancies and handling low to medium ASB cases previously, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, drive and have access to their own vehicle, and have proven experience of Housing Officer duties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out property inspections for a patch of around 800 properties
Completing tenancy audits and reviews and take the appropriate follow up action
Responsible for chasing rent arrears and attending evictions
Investigating all cases of low level ASB including gathering evidence and taking witness statements
Responsible for conducting tenancy sign ups and managing void turn arounds
Helping customers to put together affordable repayment plans to avoid arrears arising
Signposting customers to additional support providers and external agencies
Dealing with general estate and tenancy management to ensure that local areas remain tidy
Experience required:
In Social Housing as a Housing Officer
Working with customers within housing
Managing ASB cases
In the tenancy management and process
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of the tenancy start up process
Ability to de-escalate and manage ASB cases
Expertise in the rent collection and arrears processes

Monday – Thursday, 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-4:30pm
