Job description
Our client, based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a Homeownership Officer on a permanent contract.
The start date will be at the beginning of September. The salary for this position is £43,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Social Housing and have experience in a customer facing leasehold role.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Dealing with day-to-day enquiries relating to leasehold and shared ownership management, ensuring they are in line with legislation, regulation and in accordance with the terms of the lease
Managing the right to acquire process and undertaking formal and informal s.20 major work consultations
Dealing with lease extensions, resales, sub-letting and transfer of equity
Experience required:
Experience in Social Housing
Leasehold and lease extension
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Awareness of welfare benefits and national policy that may impact the lease
Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes including Excel
The ability to scrutinise the accuracy of service charges and have sufficient experience to represent the organisation at court or First Tier Tribunal hearings
Knowledge and experience of applying Commonhold and Leasehold law
Working hours:
37.5 hours a week
Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
