Job description
Our client, an international award-winning Charity, are looking to appoint a Head of Finance on a six-month FTC.
This will be a full-time position requiring you to go in the office only once every two weeks, and offering a salary of £65,000 to £70,000.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant as well as comfortable working with both statutory and management accounts.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a team of four including two Finance Business Partners, one Governance Officer and one Finance & Governance Support Officer
Carrying out period appraisals, and providing 121 support, assistance and training where needed
Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts including variance analysis and preparing journals
Managing cash flow to support the needs of the organisation in terms of working capital and return on investments
Supporting with the preparation of month end reporting and coordinating various inputs to ensure a smooth and efficient closure
Leading on the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts, including the consolidation of statutory accounts and the timely submission of the regulatory returns to the Regulator, Funders and other statutory bodies
Liaising with external auditors and preparing key schedules for statutory audit
Ensuring the Treasury function supports our strategic plans and working capital needs
Supporting the Extended Leadership Team and budget holders to develop effective financial plans and models
Experience required:
Experience of managing staff
Experience with statutory accounting
Fully qualified accountant
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Team management and leadership
Statutory accounts and management accounts
Comfortable being an invaluable partner around the business

37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
