Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Charity who are recruiting for a ER Advisor on a 6 month FTC. The position is fully remote and is due to start in February. The rate of pay for this position is £37,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will provide operational employment relations and employment law advice on routine whilst dealing with complex matters from staff and line managers.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responding to complex ER queries and providing advice on how to handle them in line with organisational policies

  • Logging and monitoring progress of complex cases, categorising based on case type and risk profile

  • Chasing line managers where delays are occurring to progress where the business is at risk of falling foul of acceptable process timelines

  • Providing ad hoc summary progress reports to senior management as required on specific cases

  • Providing line managers with readily accessible and practical guidance and policy support tools to enable them to proactively manage their staff effectively

  • Determining the key learning needs of line managers, and assist in the design of tailored learning interventions

  • Assisting with TUPE Transfers (Out) for 50/60 members of staff

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Good knowledge of employment and case law, and how to apply it through HR policy and process

  • Knowledge of GDPR, with a high level of confidentiality and discretion surrounding the use and disclosure of personal data

  • Ability to guide and coach line managers (from Team Leader to Director) in how to address staffing issues, by setting out options and recommendations, based on risk to the business

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
