Job description

We are proud to be partnering with a leading G15 Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Energy Operations Manager on a Permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based in East London, with hybrid working (60-80% working from home) and a salary of £39,000 - £45,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have sector/specialist knowledge & experience, including experience in communal heating and metering and billing
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Project manage the process of securing and successfully delivering communal heating projects, Solar PV and EVCP stock
  • Supporting technical colleagues and consultants to ensure schemes are delivered according to our communal heating design guide specification, co-ordinating consultants, exercising quality control, monitoring progress and general administration from PTW1-9
  • Work closely with the Heat Metering & Billing Manager to ensure metering systems are commissioned and operational prior to occupancy
  • Manage and oversee Energy ESCO schemes and obligations, ensure activities of Energy meet objectives and key performance indicators
  • To provide analysis of scheme failures and put forward recommendations for plant improvement
  • Support customer call centre advisors with escalated complaints and lead on scheme complaints, ensuring the housing association comply with the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code
Experience required:
  • Sector/specialist knowledge & experience, including experience in communal heating and metering and billing
  • Experience of monitoring performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Project management experience
  • Legal knowledge and experience
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Understanding of the public procurement process e.g. through OJEU
  • Knowledge of communal and district heating systems incorporating boilers, CHP units, ASHP, GSHP and metering systems
