Job description
Our client, based in South Wales, is currently recruiting for an Allocations Officer on a temporarycontract for up to 3 months. Our client is proud to provide support and housing services across South Wales for over 40 years.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have an Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years and have knowledge of the Housing and Wales Act 2014.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Providing advice and assistance for new vulnerable customers to help them make an informed choice about rehousing
Conducting tenancy sign ups and viewings with tenants, and ensuring they understand the terms of their tenancy agreement
Completing housing applications with prospective customers, making offers of accommodation and undertaking accompanied viewings
Offering and ensuring any support arrangements required are put in place for tenants
Liaising with external agencies to ensure needs and risk assessments, and support plans are provided for customers in relation to their housing needs
Completing interviews with all new customers to sign tenancy agreements and providing them with all relevant information they need to start their tenancy
Letting properties in line with Council policy’s and ensuring they adhere to this
Dealing with void management, reducing re-let turnaround times and assisting with background checks when required
Experience required:
Experience in housing management administration,allocations and lettings

35 hours per week
Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
