James Andrews Recruitment Solutions was established in 2009 by a team of recruitment specialists, each with a wealth of industry experience. With extensive knowledge of sectors including Social Housing, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, IT, Local Government, Construction and Property Management, along with our dedicated Technology division, we are perfectly placed to provide our clients and candidates with a comprehensive, bespoke service, catering for every requirement with a professional yet personal touch.

Each of the Consultants in our rapidly expanding team is highly trained and a specialist in their field, with a unique understanding of the industry they operate in.   • 2009

    Open for business!

    ​We open our doors as a team of 4 in a small flat above a shop in Leicester in April and it wasn't long until our first placement, placing a Lettings Administrator the following month. By the end of the year, and at the first ever JARS Christmas Party, we had a grand total of 6 employees.

  • 2010

    Next stop, Birmingham!

    ​Just over a year after opening our first Leicester office, we opened our Birmingham office in St Paul's Square, in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. By Christmas, 15 employees headed out into Birmingham for the coldest party in our company history!

  • 2011

    Moving on!

    ​After outgrowing our first office, we opened a shiny new office in Leicester that could hold 15 people, though to quote our Managing Director when the office opened, 'we won't be outgrowing this place for while!'

  • 2013

    Famous last words!

    In 2013, we did in fact out-grow the Leicester office and headed back to where it all began, above the shop in Leicester, this time with space for 27 employees. We also opened our third office, moving South into Watford's business district, making it easier to visit our South East and London candidates.

  • 2014

    Work hard, play hard!

    2014 saw our first Annual Summer Seminar in London, a sunny Saturday which saw the whole team enjoying a day out in the capital before partying into the early hours. By 2014 we'd also outgrown yet more office space and expanded our Birmingham office, creating space for over 30 consultants, and ended the year with 40 employees across the 3 offices!

  • 2015

    Investors in People

    ​In 2015 we were proud to achieve the Investors in People standard accreditation, with a recommendation to be re-assessed in order to reach Silver. Developed in partnership with accredited organisations and market leaders, the framework sets out the features of high performance and management excellence, meaning we can confidently state that we are an organisation that is truly great place to work!

  • 2016

    London calling!

    ​A big year for James Andrews (not only because Leicester City were crowned Premier League Champions!) as we hit the capital and opened our first Central London office in Lincoln's Inn Fields, Holborn. Our head count by the end of the year totalled 72, meaning we'd outgrown our favourite restaurant, so we headed to the Hyatt Regency for a slightly larger scale Christmas party!

  • 2017

    On the move again!

    ​The lure of city life got the better of our Watford team as we closed the doors and the team joined their colleagues in Holborn! Meanwhile, our Leicester team got ready to pack up their office again, as we started building work on even larger premises, coincidentally in the bank premises our second office was above, and now big enough to hold 40 employees!

  • 2018

    Silver linings!

    ​We were delighted to receive our Silver accreditation in 2018, which puts us in the top 3% of accredited organisations - very rare for a recruitment firm! After reviewing our business, IIP commended our 'growth of the business through the growth of the people' ethos and were pleased to find all employees consulted were happy with their learning experiences and management input.

  • 2019

    The big 1-0!

    ​We're not a company to let a milestone like 10 years go by without a huge party so we celebrated our anniversary in style in 2019! The whole company got together at Marco Pierre White in Birmingham's Cube, a fantastic location to check out the views of the city at night and commemorate a fantastic decade!

  • 2021

    The Square Mile

    ​After 18 months separated from their team-mates during the pandemic, our London team were delighted to reunite in a brand-new office in 2021, situated right in the middle of the City's famous Square Mile and next to the Royal Exchange!

  • 2022

    Digital Transformation

    2022 saw us invest significantly in digital improvements, including a new CRM system, helping to make our processes more efficient for our internal teams, clients and candidates alike!

  • 2023

    New year, new look!

    A new year and a new look for us as we give our signature orange a refresh and launch with a shiny new website, as well as a newly improved Mission Statement and Company Values! 2023 also saw us launch our new Executive Search division, Lincoln Cornhill Executive.

  • 2024

    Meet JA Tech

    ​2024 marks a fantastic 15 years of the James Andrews Group, as well as the launch of our latest division, James Andrews Technology, formed to meet the unique demands of the fast-paced digital landscape.
