Job description

Our client, based in West London, is currently recruiting for a Senior Services Manager (DV) role on a 4-month temporary contract.

We are proud to be representing this client that is a women’s charity who work with women who have experienced domestic abuse and help them take control of their lives as well as help women who have committed crimes or are at risk of offending and help them break the cycle.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and the hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior manager with a proven track record of leadership in providing services to women experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG). They will also have an enhanced DBS dated within the last three years (adult and children barred list included) and access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing the quality and delivery of services to women who have experienced domestic violence and abuse from crisis to step down and recovery
  • Overseeing a team of 11, including 2 team leaders
  • Building and maintaining key relationships, partnerships and contracts with relevant partners and funders, together with the Head of Domestic Abuse Services and Director of Services
  • Working within a multi-agency setting to address the safety of high-risk survivors and ensuring that their safety plans are co-ordinated particularly through the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
  • Building and maintaining key relationships, partnerships and contracts with relevant partners and funders
  • Setting budgets and ensuring that services and projects are compliant with financial regulations, policies and procedures and meet finding requirements
  • Representing the organisation at meetings and presentations and influence and support the development of strategic plans to ensure the sustainability, development and delivery of services

Experience required:

  • Experienced senior manager with a proven track record of leadership in providing services to women experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG) and working with partners and funders
  • A sound knowledge of safeguarding adult and children principles, child abuse and child protection issues and MARAC
  • A thorough understanding of violence against Women and Girls, especially domestic violence and abuse, and issues relating to it
  • Enhanced DBS required within the last three years, with adult and children barred list included

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Good understanding of the operation of local and national government, the criminal justice system, health, social care and public sector environment in which services operate
  • Working with women and/or children with a complex range of needs, risk assessing, needs assessing and safety and support planning

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm / 10am-6pm
  • Up to x2 days working from home
