Our client, based in St Albans, is currently recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary rate is £32,391 per annum for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a homeless service and experience of managing staff. They will also hold an enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years and also have access to their own vehicle.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Overseeing the night shelter providing emergency accommodation for up to 12 single homeless people
• Supporting clients to find move on accommodation, claim benefits, counselling, sign posting, support for drugs and alcohol
• Ensuring the service runs smoothly as an emergency, short term accommodation for very vulnerable people for up to 28 days and providing intensive support to all
• Using knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to homelessness, housing and equalities act
• Assisting with multiple and complex needs experienced by homeless people
• Carrying out case reviews on Officers cases

Experience required:

• Experience required in a homeless service
• Experience managing staff

• Knowledge of homelessness legislation, housing & equalities act
• Expertise in multiple and complex needs experienced by homeless people
