We are currently partnering with a leading educational body based in East London, who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their growing team in North London.

This is a 3-month temporary position with a rate that is negotiable dependent upon experience.
The role will require the applicant to be on site full-time for 37.5 hours per week and ideally have an enhanced DBS.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Taking responsibility for the processing of financial transactions within the academy, including purchase orders, invoicing, credit card reconciliation, BACS payments and petty cashUndertaking monthly bank reconciliations Assuming responsibility for the receipt, safekeeping and banking of all monies received by the academyMaintaining finance filing systems, ensuring that records are suitable for audit purposesWorking with the Finance Manager to achieve the most competitive pricing for goods and services in compliance with current and relevant procurement legislationEnsuring high standards of financial probity and value for money within the academyWorking as part of the office team and support with school administrationContributing to the achievement of the educational vision for the academyAssisting the Finance Manager with the day-to-day financial processes and procedures required of the academyExperience required:
English and Maths GCSE grade A-C, or equivalent Part-qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA (desirable)Rewards and Benefits:
