Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a substance misuse charity based in Hertford, who are recruiting for a Recovery Worker on a temporary three month contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to be extended father. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £20 per hour via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have previously worked with complex needs clients facing issues with drugs and alcohol and also have a DBS that is registered on the online update service.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a revolving caseload of clients attending a 6 week recovery programme

  • Attending group sessions of 10-12 clients and monitoring the progress of the group

  • Providing in depth support plans for members struggling the most

Experience required:

  • Previous worked with complex needs clients who have issues abusing drugs or alcohol

  • Supported clients in a recovery group setting

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Recovery treatment plans

  • Knowledge of various substances

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Compliance and due diligence

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm with Wednesday hours covering 12-8
