Job description

We are currently working in partnership with an established Housing Association located in South Yorkshire, who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Manager on a permanent basis, starting in February. This role involves 3 days in the office per week on average and requires access to a vehicle.

The rate for this role is from £43,000 to £45,793 Subject to how fully the criteria is fulfilled.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leading in the delivery of excellent services to all tenures, managing and monitoring performance of the team to create a high-performance culture and drive continuous improvement

  • Supporting the Head of Housing Operations in the development and implementation of process and system improvements working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation

  • Carrying out staff appraisals and regular one to one meetings

  • Ensuring a seamless response to customer enquiries working with the customer contact centre to ensure an effective handover of enquiries

  • Taking the lead for resident safeguarding, ensuring all safeguarding policies and processes are adhered to

  • Keeping informed of best practice in housing management, ASB, income collection and arrears management and ensure we follow best practice guidelines

  • Ensuring the team maintains regular contact with customers and deals with neighbour nuisance issues in a professional and timely manner to create and sustain safe neighbourhoods and communities

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Experience of providing excellent housing services across all key areas of housing services including income collection, arrears management, ASB, tenancy fraud, resident liaison, and tenancy management

  • Experience of managing teams to deliver excellent housing management services

  • Thorough knowledge of current housing legislation, regulation, policy and best practice

Working hours:

  • 35 hours a week

  • Monday – Friday

  • 9:00am – 5.00pm (flexible working days/hours)

  • 3 days in office a week
