Job description
We are proud to be partnering with an established housing association who provide sustainable homes and communities with excellent customer service. They are looking to appoint a Multi-Trade Operative on a 3-month temporary to permanent contract.
This will be a full-time position based in Kent, with company van and fuel card included. The hourly rate is up to £25 via umbrella, and salary of £34,900 plus further benefits.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ multi-trade experience carrying out repairs and replacement works in both occupied and unoccupied properties.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Undertaking maintenance work on site and ensuring works are completed to highest standards, complying with Customer Service Code of Conduct
Working on various occupied and void properties carrying out remedial works, rectifying faults and maintaining excellent standard of work
Liaising with customers when carrying out works, while ensuring properties are left in a clean and safe manner
Supervising apprentices, educating them on company standards where neccessary
Assessing, planning and requesting the parts and materials required to carry out works and managing stock where neccessary
Experience required:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the building maintenance industry
Working from verbal/written instruction including diagrams and sketches
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Using measuring equipment where appropriate
Knowledge of Noise at Work regulations, CAR 2012 regulations, Health and Safety Standards
Ability to train apprentices
