Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a women’s domestic violence charity based in Westminster, who are recruiting for an IDVA on a temporary two-month contract.
The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to be extended further. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience up to £23 umbrella per hour.
The ideal candidate will have regularly attended MARAC and previously worked as a Domestic Violence Support Worker.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing a caseload and delivering high quality and responsive support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse
Identifying and assessing the risks and needs of domestic abuse survivors using an evidence- based risk identification checklist
Working within a multi-agency setting to address the safety of high-risk survivors and ensuring that their safety plans are co-ordinated particularly through the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
Experience required:
Previously worked as an IDVA or Domestic/Sexual Violence Support Worker
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Support focuses towards the families or children of domestic abuse
Rewards and Benefits:
Hybrid working 2 days a week from home
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
