Job description
Our client, based in the Home Counties is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The annual salary for the position is £23,817.00.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within social housing and have their own vehicle with a full UK Driving License.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for providing a generic housing management service to low level ex-offenders for 12 clients across five properties
Carrying out health and safety checks and managing new tenant sign ups
Completing key working sessions alongside residents on a regular basis
Enabling welfare benefit access, assisting with form filling, and responding to tenants complaints
Dealing with rent recovery for current and former tenant arrears for c. 50 accounts
Taking and evidencing reports of ASB, including taking witness statements and organising mediation
Liaising with key stakeholders including police, environmental health, local authorities and support agencies
Carrying out new tenant visits, mutual exchanges and termination of tenancies
Conducting risk assessments and supporting plans tailored to the individual need of the service users
Assisting tenants in the move on process to permanent accommodation, conducting interviews and writing reports
Responsible for daily and weekly inspections and security checks such as fire alarm testing
Experience required:
Minimum two years’ experience within the sector etc.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Working with customers with complex needs
Experience of signposting
Providing floating support across a patch of properties

40 hours per week
