Job description

We’re currently working with a Housing Association that are currently recruiting for a Governance Co-ordinator on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a full-time role of 37 hours a week and the salary is up to £27,350 with a generous benefits package.

The start date is subject to notice and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a Governance role in a Housing Association.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Independently lead and manage the board and committee meetings, including preparation of agendas, reading materials and recording minutes as required

  • Collate and distribute matters arising from meetings of the group board and/or committees and ensure these are actioned

  • Produce the annual meeting schedule of the board and committees and lead on keeping the 12-month board and committee calendars up to date

  • Maintain a returns tracker to ensure Governance oversight and assurance in relation to all statutory and regulatory returns for the group

  • Maintain a ‘decisions log’ to record decisions taken across the board and its committees for use elsewhere in the business, such as resident scrutiny

  • Lead on the completion of assigned actions from the annual Governance Action Plan to ensure the plan is delivered within timescales. Provide progress updates to the group board as required

Experience required:

  • Experience of working in a regulated environment with boards and committees

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Excellent written and analytical skills with sound literacy

  • Able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills
