Job description

​We are currently engaged in a collaborative partnership with a distinguished non-profit charity in Wiltshire. In pursuit of excellence, we are actively seeking a permanent position as Deputy Service Manager. This will be a full-time position based in Gloucestershire.

Salary of £30,000 per annum, with 33 days of annual leave & fully funded award-winning training to obtain a Level 5 Leadership & Management Diploma within the first 12-18 months.

Ideal candidate will have extensive experience of understanding CQC, assessing service quality and supporting the service manager.

Duties will include:

  • Occasionally, assume the responsibilities of the line manager during their absence, providing seamless coverage for scheduled leave or unforeseen absences.

  • Exemplify the role of a mentor and coach, meticulously auditing and assessing the quality of service delivery in real-time.

  • Adhere rigorously to the Support Worker job description, effectively role modeling all aspects of the role's duties and responsibilities.

  • Integral to this role is the practice of leadership among support workers, consistently showcasing exemplary support, and exhibiting the appropriate attitudes and behaviors in the provision of care.

  • Take an active role in coaching and mentoring new colleagues, embodying practice leadership, and continuously monitoring the application of Person-Centered Active Support (PCAS) to identify avenues for ongoing improvement.

  • Observe, coach, and provide constructive feedback to colleagues progressing towards their Care Certificate, evaluating their proficiency in showcasing the requisite skills, knowledge, and behavior

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
