Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Marstock, who are recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a temporary 10 week contract. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential for extention. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £17 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable client groups, have a basic DBS certificate, or be happy to have one carried out, and have proven experience of Housing duties.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Being responsible for a caseload of clients withing the sheltered scheme to promote independent living and safety in their homes (55 years old +)

  • Co-ordinating support services from other agencies, careers and relatives as necessary within the sheltered housing scheme

  • Raising important issues with the relevant manager on own initiative and communicating instructions or requests to various department

  • Ensuring that key duties are completed in order to support the work of the services

  • Monitoring daily contact with tenants as required, being proactive in checking on their welfare in line with their individual support needs

    • Experience required:

    • Experience required in Social Housing

    • Experience working with customers within housing

    Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

    • Risk assessment and management

    • Compliance and due diligence

    Working hours:

    • 20 hours per week

    • Monday – Thurs (shift patterns may vary)
