Where are you from originally?

I grew up and went to school in Tunbridge Wells, however, I was born in Chicago

What drew you towards a career in recruitment?

I wanted to go into a Sales based role to use my personality and recruitment seemed like a great option as it is rewarding

What first attracted you to James Andrews?

The team aspect was something that stood out to me. The fact that commission is team based means that team work is really encouraged, and I didn’t find this in any other agency I applied to

Why did you decide to seek a graduate role in Birmingham?

I had a fantastic university experience in Birmingham, and made a lot of great friends who are still living in the area. Therefore, I wanted to stay in the city I studied in. It is also far cheaper than London, so your money goes further here!

Favourite thing about working here so far?

The atmosphere in the office. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming it helps anyone new to James Andrews settle in. It also makes asking questions very easy as you don’t feel awkward

What has surprised you most about being a Recruitment Consultant?

Probably the knowledge you need to know for the specific industry you are dealing with, but it makes sense why, you need to know what you are selling

What have you enjoyed most so far about your day-to-day work or training?

I have enjoyed talking to candidates and organising candidate meetings. I have also enjoyed the training with my Manager (Clara) as we have made it fun whilst learning the marketing and sector specific notes
