Where are you from originally?
South East London
What drew you towards a career in recruitment?
The challenge and opportunity to build confidence and step a little out of my comfort zone
What first attracted you to James Andrews?
The company culture
Why did you decide to seek a graduate role in London?
Mainly for more of an exciting lifestyle than if I stayed local. Meeting new people and getting to travel into the city
Favourite thing about working here so far?
The team. From the minute I joined, everyone made me feel so supported and went out of their way to ask how I’m getting on and get to know me. The office has such a warm feel with everyone being so lovely and it’s really helped especially in the first few days where things felt a bit wobbly at times.
What has surprised you most about being a Recruitment Consultant?
The pace. It’s a busy job and there’s ALWAYS something to do. Which I love as I’m being so much more productive plus it makes the day fly by!
What have you enjoyed most so far about your day-to-day work or training?
I love how much of a nice environment the office is – I actually look forward to coming in everyday and chatting to everyone. Telephone interviews have been my favourite part of training so far, the difference between my first day on calls and a week and a half in is actually laughable. I was a nervous wreck on my first call and now I’ve felt myself starting to become more relaxed and getting my personality across, rather than sounding like a robot! I can tell my confidence is slowly starting to build as the days go by and anytime I’m unsure on something, I always feel the members of my team are happy to help!
