Where are you from originally?
Ruthin, North Wales.
What drew you towards a career in recruitment?
Both the concept of working with people and also the pace and variety of the industry.
What first attracted you to James Andrews?
The focus on investing in new staff through the training offered which seemed a lot more apparent than that offered by competitors. I was impressed by that and how the effort and positive attitude from a new employee is mirrored by the employer.
Why did you decide to seek a graduate role in London?
Having lived in the country growing up, I was drawn to the appeal of living in the city and London appealed due to its fast pace and transport links.
Favourite thing about working here so far?
The office atmosphere and team are both friendly and engaging which makes the day more enjoyable.
What has surprised you most about being a Recruitment Consultant?
The support and training that has been offered. Although JARS emphasises the focus on training and retaining new staff, it was refreshing to see it actually in practice and helped remove any potential hesitation in asking for help or assistance.
What have you enjoyed most so far about your day-to-day work or training?
The variety of the tasks and jobs we have to complete. In my first week although it was a traditionally slower week then the other members of the office experienced, I enjoyed that we would be shown a task then be given the chance to apply it practically as this helped me to learn processes and methods faster.
