Job description
Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Youth Opportunity Officer on a permanent contract.
This is a part time position offering 21 hours a week.
The position is due to start immediately. The salary for this position is £18,420.19 (FTE £32,454).
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a background working in social housing, specifically with the elderly and hold an Enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Supporting a group of 6 residents, encouraging them into physical activity
Assisting residents with CVs and encouraging them into employment
Promoting key life skills
Building positive relationships with residents to support their personal development and wellbeing
Signposting residents to external services such as training, education, and employment opportunities
Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records to track outcomes and support needs
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
NVQ level 2 in social housing, social work or youth work
Working hours:
21 hours per week
Monday – Friday (potential for flexibility on hours / days)
