Job description
Our client, based in Staffordshire, is currently recruiting for Tenancy Sustainment Officer on a 6-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £25.00 per hour through an umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within social housing, providing tenancy sustainment advice and have their own vehicle and an Enhanced DBS within the last three years.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing targeted and specific interventions to sustain tenancies
Engaging, educating and promoting independent living and positivity to tenants and communities
Encouraging and engaging in a multi-agency approach in supporting tenants
Identifying issues affecting the tenancy and producing a targeted bespoke intervention for each case
Identifying and addressing any benefit issues to maximise income
Liaising with colleagues regarding reusable furniture and making grant applications
Encouraging and engaging in a multi-agency approach in supporting tenants and their families
The successful candidate must be confident in dealing with and recording any Safeguarding issues
Experience required:
Experience of positive involvement in sensitive case working with complex families
Awareness of Safeguarding
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of the local area and external support agencies
Comprehensive knowledge of welfare benefits
Computer knowledge – ability to use Microsoft package i.e. word, excel, outlook
Ability to communicate effectively with both adults and young people
Proven ability in dealing with social issues including anti-social behaviour
Experience of inter-agency working
