Job description

We are delighted to be representing a housing provider based in Essex. They are looking to appoint a new Tenancy Sustainment Officer on a temporary basis for six months, on a full time basis.

The role offers HYBRID WORKING meaning no more than three days per week in the office! The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.

The client is looking for someone with a strong understanding of social housing, who is confident with intensive housing management advice and providing practical help to victims of ASB, hate crime and domestic abuse.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring vulnerable tenants have access to essential services allowing them to sustain their tenancies

  • Providing support to victims of ASB, hate crimes and domestic abuse

  • Providing a proactive landlord service for customers

  • Promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults

  • Responding to complaints and enquiries in a timely manner

  • Carrying out risk assessments for tenants in partnership with appropriate agencies

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Knowledge of the Housing Act and The Care Act 2014

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Awareness of and ability to comply with relevant health and safety legislation

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 09:00 – 17:00
