Job description

Our client, based in Hampshire, is currently recruiting for a Surveyor on a temporary contract for three to six months. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will ideally come from a surveying background and have experience within DEA’s and hold a full UK Driving License.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Working with Private Sector landlords within a geographical patch

  • Carry out residential site inspections: including condition and ventilation surveying

  • Learn about energy improvements in residential properties

  • Engage with consultants and quality check energy assessments

  • Analyse energy data from PAS 2035 Energy Assessments, disseminate information and accurately identify the most applicable delivery path

  • Work alongside managers in relation to external funding delivery programmes that will require a high standard of quality assurance and reporting

  • Assist with producing delivery programmes and reports for various internal senior members of staff and third parties (Government, partners, consultants)

  • Analyse energy performance/usage data that the Council is beginning to receive through various monitoring systems/platforms 

Experience required:

  • Surveying background

  • Experience working with DEAs

  • Experience of the common errors within and the delivery of Refurbishment/Energy Retrofit work

  • Experience with PAS 2035

  • Experience within property management systems related to energy performance

  • Experience within condition and ventilation surveying

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and analysing skills

  • Quality assurance and reporting skills

  • Strong communications skills with tenants and customers

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
