Job description
Our client, based in the East Midlands, is currently recruiting for a surveyor, on a 4-week temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £26-£30 per hour on an Umbrella basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Surveying within social housing, will be able to hit the ground running and hold a full UK Driving License.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Undertaking reactive, void and stock condition surveys on communal social housing properties (extra care supported schemes) within the designated region
Monitoring programme performance, quality standards and ensure good liaison and excellent communications with staff, stakeholders and residents
Ensuring that contractors are regularly monitored for quality, performance and value and hold operational meetings regarding KPI’s, expenditure and Health & Safety issues
Inspecting properties for component lifecycle analysis, including kitchens, bathrooms and roofs
Liaising and correspond with the repair team to ensure building and maintenance issues are comprehensively involved
Completing reviews of previous recommendations for asbestos and fire, ensuring work was completed and making note of any incomplete work
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Experience working with surveying within social housing
Experience undertaking stock condition surveys on domestic properties
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Compliance and due diligence
Strong communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of the life cycle analysis
Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
