Job description
We are currently working with a Housing Association based in Portishead who are recruiting for a Surveying Project Manager with a salary of £44,624 per annum.
These position will be a full time role however, will offer flexible working hours and a hybrid working pattern.
It is essential that all applicants have a full driver’s license and a formal building qualification such as a RICs accredited course, BSC, HNC, HND.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Managing complex projects within a Social Housing setting, including relating to Fire Damaged Properties, Section 20 Issues, DFGs and structural issues
Identifying building defects through surveys, and use knowledge of building pathology and damp and mould issues to create specifications for remedial works
Carrying out initial triage for Damp and Mould issues within domestic properties, and assess the need for further inspection
Undertaking pre-build construction plans and ensure all contractors on site are aware of all plans, as well ensuring all work is in line with budgets
Developing and carrying out tendering processes for large and complex projects, both on a reactive and planned basis
Requirements:
Full driving license
Social Housing experience
A Formal Building qualification such as a RICs accredited course, BSC, HNC, HND
A working knowledge of Schedule of Rates
Good working knowledge of CDM regulations
Awareness of HHSRS risks
