​Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer on a temporary to permanent contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate for temporary is negotiable based on experience and with permanent salary of £25,900.

The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out support plans and working within the housing setting.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Managing x2 blocks of supported living accommodation for 25 tenants with various complex needs

• Helping tenants with budgeting and collecting rent arrears

• Creating support plans and tailoring to each client and conducting risk assessments

• Carrying out safeguarding procedures and conducting welfare checks

• Advising on welfare and benefits available and helping tenants to make applications

• Referring tenants to external agencies for additional support, if necessary

Experience required:

• Two years of housing experience

• Safeguarding experience and knowledge

• DBS valid within three years (Temporary role only)

• 37.5 hours per week

• Monday - Friday 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
