Support Worker – Complex Needs

Our client, based in Shropshire, is currently recruiting for a Complex Needs Support Worker on a temporary contract for four weeks.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• To work directly with individuals assessed as having complex needs and housed in appropriate supported accommodation
• Assess the risks for each client and yourself, which is reviewed and updated regularly according to the service standard
• Complete needs assessments and ensure appropriate support time is allocated
• Agree support plans based on risk and needs in collaboration with the client; which are reviewed and updated regularly according to the service standard
• Keep the client database up to date at all times; all risk and support needs recorded accurately assuring attention to detail
• Enable access to life-skills to promote independence and engagement into the wider community
• Support residents to become financially independent, and confident in managing household income and expenditure

Experience required:

• Supporting clients with complex needs
• Minimum two years’ experience within the sector

Working hours:

• 35 hours per week
• Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
