Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a local authority based in the East Midlands, who are currently recruiting for a Stock Condition Surveyor on a temporary six-month contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, with the salary being negotiable based on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in carrying out Stock Condition surveys within domestic properties and hold a full UK Driving License.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Carrying out Stock Condition surveys on the councils domestic housing stock

  • Making recommendations and taking photos/records of any necessary work and write reports

  • Working effectively with the schedulers and planners to ensure inspections are conducted in a timely manner

  • Updating the stock condition database and produce reports for senior management

  • Recording all information and data accurately

  • Achieving the required surveys per day based on relevant targets

  • Working in accordance with current legislations, including Compliance, Health & Safety policies and procedures

Experience required:

  • HHSRS experience/qualified

  • Minimum two years’ experience within domestic and social housing

  • Experience with stock condition surveying

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and management

  • Compliance and due diligence

  • Strong communication skills

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
