Job description

We are currently working with a national Property Consultancy who are looking for a Stock Condition Surveyor on a 6 month contract to be based on a project in the North Gwynedd, Wales area.

The role is a full-time site-based position, and is due to start immediately. You can be paid via your own limited company or via an umbrella company and it is paid on a per survey basis, offering £17 for flats, £23 for houses and £25 for flats.

Our client is looking for candidates with experience conducting stock condition surveys within social housing properties, as well as HHSRS and domestic energy assessments, but this requirement can be negotiable. The successful candidate will also have their own vehicle with a full UK Driving License.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting stock condition surveys on Social Housing units

  • To ensure buildings are designed and constructed so that there are appropriate provisions for the early warning of fire, and appropriate means of escape in case of fire from the building to a place of safety

  • Carrying out domestic energy assessment surveys

  • Using knowledge and understanding of fire safety compliance including approved document part B

  • Recording all information and data on electronic handheld devices

  • Conducting HHSRS surveys to ensure properties are up to standard

  • Liaising with and engaging with residents in regards to work carried out

  • Achieving the required surveys per day based on relevant targets

  • Working in accordance with changing legislations, as well as Health & Safety policies and procedures

Experience required:

  • Stock Condition Surveying

  • HHSRS qualified (desirable)

  • Domestic Energy Assessor (desirable)

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Appropriate provisions for Social Housing units

  • Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures
