Senior Technical Officer

Our client, based in Somerset, is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Officer on a temporary contract for a minimum of 8 months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience of aids and adaptations, CAD and Disabled facilities Grants.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Contact both social housing and private tenants in relation to disabled facilities grants applications
• Carry out the full scope of works for disabled facilities grants, from the initial paperwork to planning permission
• Undertake surveys to assess works required and produce a specification of works
• Utilise Auto CAD/ Auto CAD Light to create drawings for adaptations
• Procure quotes from contractors and ensure value for money is obtained
• Project manage works from inception to completion on kitchens and bathrooms, driveways and access routes

Experience required:

• CAD understanding
• DFG understanding and experience
• Contracts Management experience
• Social housing and domestic experience

Working hours:

• 3 hours per week
• Monday – Friday 10am-4pm core hours but start and finish times are core hours
