We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Merseyside, who are recruiting for a Senior Commercial Solicitor on a 3 - 6 month locum contract. The position is due to start immediately, , offering an hourly rate of £60 - £65 via an Umbrella company.

They are ideally looking for someone to attend the office on a weekly basis, but remote options can be considered. The ideal candidate be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, and have significant experience within Local Government.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading on a varied caseload of complex commercial matters, with a particular focus on health and social care commissioning and contracting arrangement

• Supervising two Solicitors within the team

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of commercial agreements, including care provision contracts, collaboration agreements and strategic partnership arrangements

• Advising on contract management, variations, disputes and risk mitigation across key health and social care service areas

Experience required:

• Experience required in Local Government

• Experience managing complex contracts

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week

• Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
