Job description

Our client, based in Kent and Central London, is currently recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor on a permanent contract.

 

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis with a hybrid-working model. The salary is negotiable dependent on experience for the role.

 

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Building Surveyor or working towards this at a minimum. It is also essential for the candidate to have a full UK driving license.

 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Undertaking external wall surveys to confirm whether the cladding on residential buildings have been properly assessed for fire safety

  • Completing site inspections and maintaining records of these visits, including any inspection findings

  • Diagnosing any issues and drawing up reports in order to resolve these defects

  • Reporting to the line manager to ensure surveys are administered and registered efficiently

  • Taking part in regular performance meetings and development improvement programmes

Experience required:

  • Extensive surveying experience

  • RICS or working towards

  • External wall and cladding surveys

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Understanding of fire safety

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Knowledge of safety, health, environmental and quality systems

Working hours:

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday (offering 2 days working from home)

  • 8:30 - 17:00, but can be flexible to offer work/life balance
