Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South Wiltshire, who are recruiting for a Scheme Manager on a permanent contract.

The position is due to start quickly, with hours of work being 30 per week. The salary for the role is £20,900 on a pro rata basis.

The ideal candidate will have supported clients over the age of 55+ within their own homes. You will be expected to deliver outstanding customer service that is outcome focused and supports individuals to both sustain their lease/tenancy and remain independent in their own home.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for a case load of clients within the sheltered scheme to promote independent living and safety in their homes (55 years old +)

  • Co-ordinating support services from other agencies, careers and relatives as necessary within the sheltered housing scheme

  • Keeping tenants involved in community activities, in order to help encourage independent living

  • Carrying out fire alarm tests and ensuring health and safety concerns were raised and fixed

  • Ensuring that key duties are completed to support the work of the services

  • Monitoring daily contact with tenants as required and was proactive in checking on their welfare inline with their individual support needs

  • Ensuring the designated scheme is linked to the relevant alarm response system, and maintain regular liaison with the staff in relation to any tenant, which included making referrals for dispersed alarms where required

  • Signposting clients when needed

Experience required:

  • Experience of working within the health or social care sector or within a housing environment

  • Commitment to co-production and sees values in services designed and delivered with customers

  • Computer literate, literacy and good numeracy skills and ability to support the monitoring of budgets/service charges

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • A motivated and committed self-starter with strong organisational skills; with a passion to deliver innovative services - achieving exceptional performance and customer service with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate information clearly and effectively with others using a range of techniques, adapting style to enhance impact and suit the needs of the recipient

  • Thinks practically and logically and produces high quality work, overcoming problems/issues to meet deadlines

Working hours:

  •  30 hours per week

  •  Flexibility around breakdown of hours
