Job description
We are delighted to be representing a Local Authority, based in Staffordshire, who are looking to appoint two new Scheme Manager’s on a temporary basis.
There is a full time and part time position, with a negotiable rate of pay depending on experience.
The client is looking a minimum of 12 months experience working with elderly customers, and candidates must have an Enhanced DBS with at least 6 months left before it runs out. You must also have access to your own vehicle.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for the housing management service for an elderly client base, ensuring that residents are provided with appropriate advice and options to maintain their tenancy
Carrying out visits to resident’s homes, partnership meetings, resident meetings and other agencies meetings
Working within a scheme made up of 40 units, with approximately 45 residents
Engaging with the Tenant Participation Team, customer and partners in delivering Tenant Participation Strategy, policies and procedures
Inputting data, keeping records, measuring performance and generating reports
Dealing with telephone and email enquiries from all internal and external customers
Completing a range of Word documents to generate standard monthly reports and forms
Responsible for carrying out Health and Safety checks within tenant properties and across the patch
Responsible for identifying and reporting repairs to the Door Entry System and Lifeline Systems
Experience required:
Working knowledge of support needs and support providers
12 months experience working with customers aged 55+
Previous experience of working in a sheltered scheme environment
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Up to date of MS Office IT applications
To be able to deal with confidential and sensitive issues
Experience of liaising with external support professionals
Ability to work in a lone working based environment
Working hours:
1 x 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00am – 5:00pm
1 x 18.5 hours per week, working Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday 09:00am – 5:00pm
