Safer City Ambassadors

Our client, based in Devon, is currently recruiting for 4 Safer City Ambassadors on a temporary basis for four months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will be willing to speak to members of the public and will be open to being out and about during these times. Full PPE will be provided.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Providing customer focused specialist advice regarding COVID-19 Regulations, such as social distancing on the high street and in busy city areas
  • Keeping up to date with current and emerging legislation, best practice and policy and ensuring continuous development and improvement in services
  • Directing pedestrians and managing pedestrian one-way systems in the city centre and designated Neighbourhood Shopping Areas
  • Guiding pedestrians through exit and entry points
  • Checking and promoting visibility of COVID-19 Secure messaging
  • Handing out face coverings and guiding the public to hygiene stations (where available)
  • Working with local businesses on queue management in the public realm, for example, advising on one-way systems and social distancing in queues
  • Facilitating and encouraging social distancing and to help prevent mixing between groups in evening economy areas
  • Reminding members of the public to wear a face covering where required in relation to business premises

 

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Ability to interact with members of the public

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
