Retirement Living Officer (Scheme Manager)

Our client, a Housing Association based in Kent and South East London, is currently recruiting for a Hybrid Retirement Living Officer on a fixed term contract for 6 months. Our client is proud to have 20,000 properties across Kent, South East London and Essex and currently builds around 600 new properties each year.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The role is paying £36,000-£40,000 depending on location of applicants (London weighting) and comes with multiple other company benefits.

The ideal candidate will need to have experience working with elderly residents, tenancy management and have access to their own car (must be willing to travel to all areas) to be considered for the role.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Managing schemes across Kent, South East London and Essex (Primarily in Kent, can be as far as Folkestone and Canterbury including one scheme in Maldon – Essex)
  • Conducting estate inspections and completing compliance checks
  • Upholding a high standard of health and safety checks across the properties
  • General housing management such as tenancy management, ASB, rent arrears etc (roughly 50% of the role)
  • Completing projects such as researching community engagement initiatives to improve services for elderly residents, working alongside the organisations foundation (roughly 50% of the role)

Experience required:

  • Essential – previous property management experience for elderly residents 55+
  • Project work to improve community engagement

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Risk assessment and health & safety checks
  • Managing own diary
  • Access to their own car and willing to travel to multiple locations

  • Excellent starting salary of £35,000 (London weighting £2,421)

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
