We are currently working with a charity who are looking for a Residential Support Worker on a temporary basis, with a view to going permanent to be based in Birkenhead.

You will be required to work 40 hours a week over two days with a sleep in. The rate of pay is £28,137 per anum, inclusive of holiday pay, with an additional sleep-in rate of £71.28.

The client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with a view to interview this week, and is suitable for anyone with generic support experience who is looking to for their next challenge.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting young adults who have recently left foster care to achieve independent living
• Assisting young residents with medical appointments and medical emergencies, diet and meal plans, encouraged socialising and attending work placements
• Carrying out daily records, managing and recording finances while providing budgeting advice
• Safeguarding the welfare of young vulnerable individuals in line with organisational safeguarding polices and local procedures
• Creating and tailoring support plans based upon an individual’s specific needs as well as carrying out risk assessments for clients on a daily basis
• Assisting the educational aspect of one of the individual’s life, promoting aspirations and independence

Working hours:

• 40 hours per week, this role works on a ‘2 days on, 4 days off’ basis as per the below example 
• Monday – Tuesday on
• Wednesday – Saturday off
