Job description
Our client, based in West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Repairs Manager on a temporary contract for three months. The position is due to start in January 2023 on a full-time basis. The rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience of keeping a track record of financial controls within a repairs environment.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Directly line manage four to five supervisory members of staff and oversee the in-house DLO
Demonstrate extensive experience of managing and leading a team of supervisory level colleagues to deliver and drive performance across a, primarily, DLO workforce and to manage a number of supply chain partners and subcontractors delivering a repairs service to c.10k properties
Manage the day-to-day repairs service, cyclical repairs and service contracts, planned maintenance project including liaising with contractors
Lead on void delivery, managing condensation, damp & mould, experience of disrepair and driving customer service within each of these environments
Inform analysis of the data, policies and procedures of the repairs and asset management functions to support the organization to create accurate programme planning and financial forecasts
Provide an excellent, innovative and efficient maintenance service that is customer lead and outcome focused
Ensure that good quality services are delivered providing the society with good value
Ensure services are improved upon, meeting both residents’ reasonable expectations and statutory and regulatory requirements
Experience required:
Extensive experience within the social housing sector, ideally within a Local Authority or Housing association environment.
Demonstrate experience of change management and bring about service improvements
Managing repairs priorities
Experience of delivering commercial improvements through financial management
Managing and leading a team of Supervisory level colleagues to deliver and drive performance
Manage a number of supply chain partners and subcontractors
Experience in Void delivery, managing Condensation, Damp & Mould
Experience within Disrepair
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

Ability to build upon the current team’s skill sets and performance
Ability to use implemented Data Quality program’s
Working hours:
39 hours per week
Monday - Friday
