Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a leading charity, who is currently recruiting for a HR Coordinator on a 2-month temporary contract (likely to be extended). The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, the hourly rate is £17.66 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay.

The ideal candidate will have extensive administrative skills and ideally have experience working within not-for-profit.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Advising recruiting managers with recruitment needs; including assisting with planning recruitment campaigns, following the recruitment processes and procedures, best practice, answering any queries and resolving issues during the recruitment process

  • Advertising roles and identifying advertising routes, considering candidate attraction methods to support attraction of a wide talent pool

  • Managing the recruitment mailbox and Smartsheets, replying to any other queries and ensuring recruiting managers have access to applicants’ information

  • Ensuring all applicants are tracked and monitored during the recruitment process and that all updates and notifications are sent to all candidates as appropriate in a timely and effective manner

  • Regularly keep the Recruitment Manager informed of recruitment progress and any challenges encountered, maintaining an up-to-date vacancy list and New Starter spreadsheet detailing activities

  • Organising and creating electronic employee records for new starters, including management of the HR database files and ensure all information is timely and accurately recorded, e.g., contracts, job descriptions, CVs, right to work documentation and DBS information

Experience required:

  • Experience of operational, day-to-day HR activities with a current knowledge of HR policies and procedures

  • Experience of working effectively autonomously and as part of a team

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

Strong administrative skills
