Job description
We’re currently working with a London Based Housing Association looking for a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
The role is based in North London and is 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9-5). A car is desirable but not essential. The salary for this role is £53,549 per annum.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Good understanding of the National housing federation rates to enable processing of invoices
Responsible primarily for orders being produced within the Housing and Neighbourhoods department, covering responsive repairs, neighbourhood services and support when required across planned works and empty homes by way of controlling and monitoring costs
Ensuing orders are coded/allocated to the correct budget lines, appropriate evidence for cost approval is saved on systems
Take ownership of requisition approval process of orders being requested for supply of goods, by validating requisition and purchase orders prior to ordering goods and services
Ensuring that robust financial monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place
Contributing to the budget plan and compiling budget reports monthly
Experience required:
Experience required in Social Housing
Experience working with customers within housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Risk assessment and management
Financial management and budgeting
Qualification relevant to the role (i.e., Building Management, IOSH Managing Safety)
Full UK driver’s license
