Project Surveyor

Our client, based in South Wales, is currently recruiting for a Project Surveyor on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is competitive based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will have a HNC/HND in a building related discipline and will have experience working within the Social Housing sector.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Undertake Project Management duties (pre contract, contract phase and post contract) on allocated projects as defined by the Senior Projects Surveyor and Capital Works Manager
• Undertake onsite management of supply chain partners with an emphasis on quality, safety and cost management
• Carry out site surveys and produce detailed specifications of work
• Prepare tender documents ensuring they are of a sufficient standard to secure contracts
• Ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to including CDM regulations and Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations etc
• Assist in the management and monitoring of budgets and ensure that expenditure is on target
• Monitor and report on project KPIs and sign off on completed work
• Effectively communicate with residents, private occupants and leaseholders ensuring all complaints and queries are dealt with

Experience required:

• HNC/HND in Building
• Project Management experience
• Social Housing experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Knowledge of all relevant legislation i.e. Party Wall Act, Control of Asbestos etc.
