Are you a dedicated Production Engineer who is driven to drive efficiency and results, in a fast-paced working environment across the manufacturing & automotive sector?

James Andrews are proud to be partnering with an international manufacturing specialist that is now looking to appoint a Production Engineer on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based on-site and in the Worcestershire region. The position comes with an attractive remuneration package and benefits, which includes a profit-based bonus scheme.

The ideal candidate will adopt a hands-on approach allowing them to support both engineering and production operations and will ideally have pre-existing knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing hands-on support to a production team in the automotive and manufacturing sector, focusing on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems

  • Interpreting and producing engineering drawings using CAD to meet production and design requirements, including optional extras and one-off adjustments

  • Delivering technical support and instructions on the shop floor to aid the build and assembly process

  • Ensuring all activities are compliant with industry standards

  • Playing an active role in the design and development of new products, including prototyping activities

  • Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and customers to resolve any queries or issues

Experience and Skills required:

  • Proven experience within industries such as heavy vehicle production, plant equipment or similar

  • An understanding of hydraulic systems

  • Proficiency in CAD (Ideally AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar)

Knowledge and Expertise required:

  • PC skills and being familiar with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to train and develop teams on production processes across the business

  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Working hours:

  • 39 per week

  • Full time on-site
