We are currently working in partnership with a local authority based in the East Midlands, who are recruiting for a Plumber on a temporary three-month contract. The position is due to start immediately. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £25.00 per hour on a CIS basis.

The ideal candidate will be NVQ Level 2 qualified and have access to their own van.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Working on Responsive Repairs plumbing

• Carrying out all general responsive plumbing duties as required including for leaks and fixtures, sinks, toilets, baths, showers, cisterns, pipework, cylinders, and external guttering

• Recording works completed on a PDA device and liaise with schedulers regarding works

• Plumbing fault finding and diagnosis

• Completing fault identification and remedial works

• Keeping the vehicle safe including any equipment and materials supplied, ensuring that they are kept in a well-maintained condition

• Ensuring schedules of safety checks and inspection are adhered to at all times

• Carrying out other multi-skilled works where required

Experience & Skills required:

• Domestic housing experience

• NVQ Level 2 Qualified in Plumbing

• Ideally experience of working with social housing properties

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week

• Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm
