Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based across the Bristol and Gloucestershire area, who are recruiting for a Planned Works Surveyor on a permanent contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this position is £44,000 per annum with a circa £5,150 car allowance or vehicle (£49,150 Total Package).
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with previous experience of working in and around property investment, major repairs delivery, or planned works as a surveyor. Additionally, having proven abilities to successfully deliver project/programmes to an excellent standard within set timeframes/budgets is advantageous.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Delivering planned works and investment programmes from inception to completion
Undertaking property surveys and producing specifications and schedules of work
Managing contracts, budgets, variations, and final accounts
Overseeing contractor performance, quality, and programme delivery
Ensuring all works are compliant with H&S legislation and housing standards
Engaging with residents and stakeholders throughout delivery
Supporting procurement, tendering, and mobilisation activities
Experience required:
Experience in planned works, property investment, or major repairs delivery
Strong contract and cost management experience
Ability to manage contractors and deliver programmes in occupied housing
A construction/property related qualification (or equivalent experience)
Full UK driving licence
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
A strong understanding of planned works across the Social Housing sector
Ability to manage large teams to achieve successful operational delivery of programmes within complex environments
Ability to manage large commercial budgets (£1m+) across the delivery of programmes
A strong base understanding of the compliance/regulations associated within the Social Housing and Planned Works environment
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (Flexible Work Available)
