​Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for People Officer on a 2-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately and is a 32 hour a week contract, the successful applicant will have the option to do this on a 4 day a week basis or across 5 days. The hourly rate is up to £25 per hour.

The ideal candidate will be very confident in handling their own ER casework and can pick up project work that is already underway.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

•Managing end-to-end employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management matters

•Advising managers on employment policies, procedures, and legally compliant people management practices

•Supporting sickness absence management processes including return-to-work meetings, Occupational Health referrals, and reasonable adjustments

•Advising on recruitment and resourcing activities including job design, shortlisting, interview processes, and safer recruitment practices

•Supporting organisational change projects including restructures, consultations, and implementation of revised team structures

•Acting as a first point of contact for operational HR and People matters, building effective relationships with managers and stakeholders

•Interpreting and applying HR policies, employment legislation, and terms and conditions consistently across service areas

•32 hours per week

•Offices open Monday to Friday – very flexible on when hours are worked
